Martin Newth was born in Manchester in 1973. He studied at Newcastle University and the Slade School of Art. His work has included installations as well as photographic work in which he employs numerous processes including very long exposures and purpose built camera obscuras. He has exhibited nationally and internationally including solo and group exhibitions at: George and Jørgen, London; Axel Lapp Projects, Berlin; Focal Point Gallery, Southend; Ffotogallery, Cardiff; Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool; and the Kunstverein Konstanz, Germany. Martin is Programme Director, BA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design. He lives and works in London. |
